TEAM UNA STAMUS (We Stand As One)

When we named this team in 2017, who would have guessed the added meaning today. “Una Stamus” is Latin for “We stand as one.” Today, “We are all in this together,” is often used to describe the times we have lived through together over the past few years. Now, more than ever, it is important that we unify. And surely, Memorial Day presents the ideal opportunity for us to come together and stand as one in support of the men and women who have made the ultimate sacrifice for the rest of us.

We feel a strong sense of indebtedness to those soldiers, police, firefighters, and first responders who have served, and especially to the men and women of the families who have paid the ultimate price. This is the very least we can do.

Brent leads the Storyboard committee again this year, helping gather and produce memorials to our fallen heroes. Katy helps him by doing all the graphic design work for these tributes. Yvonne is in charge of team fundraising and attends events as her work schedule permits. Max and Maddie volunteer as well and you will see them at the Katy Trail on Memorial weekend
