Dear Family and Friends,

Recent world events have once again reminded us that we cannot take our freedom for granted.  Freedom is not free.  It has a cost. But too often, that cost is borne by those to whom we have little connection.  

That doesn't feel right to me.

In order to begin to remedy this, I have joined the Board of Directors of The Courage Foundation (https://couragefoundationusa.org) a non-profit whose mission is to foster post-traumatic growth, restore purpose, and transform the lives of our returning warriors through integrative self-awareness, physical health, mental toughness, emotional resilience, and spiritual well-being.

As part of my duties as a member of the Board, I am participating in the Memorial May event for Carry the Load, a non-profit organization that provides active ways to connect Americans to the sacrifices made by our military, veterans, and first responders and their families. Its mission is rooted in raising awareness for the true meaning of Memorial Day, honoring the service and sacrifices made to protect our freedom, and raising money for our nation's heroes.
