My Personal Page - Carry The Load - JPMorgan Chase Mid-Atlantic Region Team
Carry The Load is a non-profit dedicated to providing active ways to honor and celebrate our nation's heroes by connecting Americans to the sacrifices made by military, veterans, first responders and their families.
Being part of this organization for the past 9 years - in 2024 I plan to participate to remember, honor, and celebrate our nation's heroes by participating in the event and fundraising. My goal is to be a part of the relay thru DC and Virginia on 5th May starting at the DC Armory - I will be taking on over 30+ miles of the relay. Join My Team! Together, we can make a difference.
I continue to "carry" Major Taj Sareen, USMC. Taj' service to our country goes without saying - he served as a fighter pilot, flying one of the most sophisticated aircraft - the F18. Taj had just been on a 6 month deployment - on his way home - when his plane had a catastrophic failure shortly after take-off in the UK (Lakenheath). Taj managed to safely avoid a village of civilians but tragically was killed when ditching his plane on October 21st, 2015. Taj was a native of California - born and raised in Hillsborough, and was deployed out of Miramar/ USMC Air Station. Taj was a hero to many - served in multiple deployments on the War Against Terror, and left a loving family and daughter behind - as well as a grateful nation. Taj was 34 years old at the time.
I continue to "carry" LCDR Erik Kristensen. Erik was killed on June 28th, 2005 over Afghanistan and was part of SEAL Team 10. His helicopter was hit during an operation on the War Against Terror. Erik was a humble leader and a very proficient operator. He will continue to be missed and remembered. Erik was 33 years old at the time.
Lastly, I continue to "carry" Lance Corporal Chance Phelps. Chance was killed during a convoy attack in Ramadi, Iraq 18 years ago while protecting General Kelly and the team on the ground. Chance drew fire from the other vehicles to himself so they could get out of harms way. Chance was 19 years old at the time.
