Carry The Load is a non-profit dedicated to providing active ways to honor and celebrate our nation's heroes by connecting Americans to the sacrifices made by military, veterans, first responders and their families.

I plan to participate in the Memorial May events to remember, honor, and celebrate our nation's heroes by participating in the event and fundraising. Together, we can make a difference.

I remember hearing stories about my great uncle who died in WWII from my Pawpaw. He would tell me stories about his and more family history anytime I would sit down and listen. For him to tell me about his side of the family just predating the War of 1812 to the current intrigued me every time. Carry The Load and One Tribe do not only allow me to honor just my great uncle, but others as well.

I have been at the Memorial Day ceremonies the last 2 years as well as this year. However I did get to participate in the relay kick off in Seattle, and will participate in at least two other relays before Memorial Day. Having this addition opportunity to honor those who served our nation and communities put additional meaning into what Memorial Day is for me. 

There is no better way to honor those who are no longer with us, than by coming together to help those still here. Join the team. If you cant come to Dallas, check for a relay leg in your area, or pitch in.
