Join us or donate to our cause as we support the mission of Carry The Load, providing active ways to honor and celebrate our nation's heroes by connecting Americans to the sacrifices made by military, veterans, first responders, front line workers and their families.

Paddle For Heroes

Saturday May 18, Lady Bird Lake, Austin, TX

11am Paddle Out Floating Memorial, On The Water, Auditorium Shores

10am Optional Group Paddle Departures leaving Epic SUP & The Rowing Dock


At 11am paddlers will meet for a traditional Paddle Out on-the-water memorial in front of Auditorium Shores, a deeply rooted surfer and paddler tradition that allows participants to honor and remember the lives and legacies of those who have passed, embodying the intrinsic connection to water. 
Paddlers are welcome to bring their own equipment, rent equipment or join on the shores at 11am. Any form of tribute is welcome including paddling in uniform, with flags, flowers, photos of heroes, or riderless boards in tow.

Rentals are available at a discounted rate at Epic Sup and Rowing Dock for family and service men and women. 
Please reserve in advance.


This is a FREE meet up. Tax-deductible donations in honor of our heroes for Memorial Day are appreciated.


Operation Get Out began out of the loss of significant others of our leadership team who lost their lives serving our country and their community. We do what we do in their honor.
